dont think I'm calculating this right.
it's about calculating the (MAP) mean arterial blood pressure of a
patient with 150mm/80mm
I am getting am answer of 103mm as the mean. am I have a feeling I'm doing somthing wrong.
You did this calculation right. If the blood presurre of the given patient would be 150 / 80 mmHg, then the MAP value would be !03.33, Because Here the Systolic BP is 150 and the diastolic is 80, according to the actual formula it would be 150 + (2 x 80 ) / 3
i.e) = 150 + 160 / 3
= 310 / 3
= 103 .33 mmHg.
So you did in a correct way, Even the online MAP simulation says theabove mentioned answer. Even After If you feel something wrong, there would be a chance to have a mistake in the given value.
