The nurse should stop the bleeding by dressing than-

The nurse should assess the vital sign of the patient. Due to loss of blood, monitor blood pressure. Because patient may be go in hypovolemic shock.

So the nurse should immediately start the intravenous fluid to the patient. And after some time the nurse should again assess the blood pressure.

If the oxygen saturation (Spo2) is low, than the nurse should immediately start the oxygen.
