Question

Calculate the amount of sodium chloride in 0.00091 kL¼ NS.

Calculate the amount of sodium chloride in 0.00091 kL¼ NS.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

GIVEN: 0.00091KL1/4 NS

IF, 1KL=1000000 ml

0.00091KL = X ml

X= 0.00091×1000000= 910 ml

X= 910ml

Now, 1/4NS means 0.225% NS

0.225% means , 0.225g contained by 100 ml

Or 0.225g= 100 ml

910ml = Y grams

Y= (910/100)× 0.225 = 9.1×0.225 = 2.0475 grams of sodium chloride.

So 910ml contains 2.0475grams of NACL .

If, 1gm = 1000mg

2.0475gm =? ( X1) mg

X1= 2.0475×1000= 2047.5 mg

Hence 2047.5 mg contained by 910 ml.
