Ordered dose is 7.5mg/kg orally every 4 hours

Weight of child in kg is 50kg ( 110lbs)

If in 1 kg dose is 7.5mg

For 50kg dose will be = 50 × 7.5 = 375mg

If patient need to take 375 mg and we have tablets of each containing 125 mg , 250 mg and 500 mg

Thus the total number of tablets (minimum) which is to be given is 2 of strength 125mg/ tab and one of 250mg/tab

Because 250 mg + 125mg = 375 mg which is required dose

Thus 1 tablet of each strength that is 125mg/tab and 250mg/ tab is to be given po , daily q.4h
