Work ethic is an attitude of determination and dedication toward one's job. Those with a strong work ethic place a high value on their professional success. They exhibit moral principles that make them outstanding employees in any position.

As a nurse, should have more importance to keep ethics in their job. It is beneficial for the patient as well as us. Not only for nurse ethical values are essential foe any healthcare workers. . Ethics within healthcare are important because workers must recognize healthcare dilemmas, make good judgments and decisions based on their values while keeping within the laws that govern them. To practice competently with integrity, nurses, like all healthcare professionals, must have regulation and guidance within the profession.

Mainly 6 ethical principle are

beneficience:have compassion and positive attitude to help others and folloelw through on the disire to good

Nonmaleficience:remain competent in the field and report suspected abuse.

Fidelity :keep commitments based on virtue of caring

Autonomy :respect the patient rights and values

Justice :treat all patients fairly and equally

Principle of integrity and totality:consider the entire person which treatment, medication or procedurebpatient should receive.

Understanding of each and every ethics is important to nurses because, nowadays we want face some situations and we should deal that in agood manner.

Here are situations nurses face almost every day:

•Obtain informed consent. Unless the patient is unconscious, the nurse has a responsibility to obtain a patient’s consent prior to any treatment or procedure. Sometimes the patient will refuse treatment. Nurses ensure the staff follows the patient’s wishes.
•Maintain patient confidentiality. While not everyone on the staff needs to know about the patient’s history or situation, nurses must decide who needs to know without violating confidentiality.
•Tell the truth. Most patients trust nurses, which is one of the reasons the profession has the highest rating for ethics and honesty. Nurses must remain truthful even when reporting news the patient does not want to hear. They also depend on patients to share correct information about their medicines, conditions and other issues.
•Deal with beliefs that conflict with empirical knowledge. Patients and their families may refuse standard treatment that has been proven effective. For example, some religions forbid blood transfusions. Should the nurse explain the benefits of the recommended treatment? Or should the nurse respect the patient’s decision?

Nowadays nurse should be more careful because covid 19, the pandemic disease, so nurse should follow the ethics and helps the people from not getting infection and also make awareness among them.
