Homework Answers

Answer #1

1) Maurya's Magical Monsoon Morning

2) Maurya and Gamela were the two main characters.

Maurya: Maurya is a boy who suddenly got wings after eating a fruit and he explored the city by flying

Gamela: Gamela is mauryas friend who lives in 46th floor

3) I like Mauryas character because he had experienced an different life than other, he got wings and converted into a bird and he explored the city and later again he changed into normal human being.

4) One Saturday morning, Maurya woke up when the sun shone in to his eyes through the curtains. He was excited, because he loved playing tennis with his papa on sunny
mornings. But, when he opened the curtains, he was surprised to see that it was raining heavily, and the sun was shining brightly through dark gray clouds.

So, he ran down lots and lots of stairs. Finally, As he looked around, he saw the most terrific rainbow. It was bigger and brighter than any rainbow he had ever seen. Suddenly, he noticed something strange. There was a tree laden with bright red pomegranates right in the
middle of the lawn. Maurya plucked a pomegranate. It felt quite real. He had a sudden urge to taste it. Maurya picked up a handful of the seeds and put it in his mouth. They tasted delicious, after eating the fruit he had completely
transformed into a giant black cuckoo bird.

After transformed into a bird, he explored the city and enjoyed the day by flying and later on when he felt thirty, he faced difficulty in drinking cocunut water, then again he want to transform into a boy, so then he went back to his house, but after going there the tree got disappeared. He felt sad that he had to lead in his life as a bird. After drinking a few sips in the puddle then again transformed into a boy. Then later on gamela and maurya started playing as usual like everyday.

5) Yes, I like the book, because it was like a fantasy for every boy and definetly one should experience this, but it will happen in dreams only for sure.
