There are three basic pathways to become a nurse : as two or three year diploma program, which allows you to become a registered nurse in less time than a bachelors program. A two year associate degree , which also provides the RN designation without earning a bachelor's degree .

G.N.M - duration 3- 3.5 yrs

advanced diploma in Opthalmic care management- 2 yrs

diploma in home nursing - 1 yr

diploma in emergency and trauma care technician- 2 yrs

Salaries of licensed vocational nurse / licensed practical nurse - $ 47, 480 annually

Registered nurse - $ 73,300

clinical nurse specialist- $ 70,000- 1,20,000

Type of duties - assessing and planning nursing care requirements

providing pre and post operation care .

writing records .
supervising junior staffs

taking patient samples , pulses , temperature and blood pressure.
