Answer #1

•ANSWER•

Given value,

Solution-500 ml

Dextrose percentage-17.5 %

Dextrose in grams- ??

Solution- 17.5 % dextrose means

-17.5 gram dextrose present in the

   100 ml solution

So, - dextrose amount in 500 ml solution

=17.5 / 100 ×(500)

= 17.5 × 5

=87.5 gram dextrose present in 500

Solution.

Dimentional analysis-

(1) conversion factor-

1 gram= 1000 mg

1000 gram= 1 kilogram

So,

1000 mg in 1 gram

= 87.5 ×1000

= 87500 mg

= 87500 miligrams of dextrose require to make 500 ml solution. (Answer)

(2). So, we can say , if i want to make 500 solution of 17.5% dextrose.

87500 miligrams of dextrose should be needed to 500 ml sotution.
