Breach of confidentiality is referred as publishing one's own private information or data with out their consent .

In the case of Hernietta Lacks the books clearly explain that the ethical issues in the story of that women. Henrietta Lacks is a African American women, 30 year old suffered with cervical cancer and underwent tissue biopsy. Some of tissue is passed to the researchers with out taking consent from the patient. This is a major examples for the breach of confidentiality.

Here the hospital authority made situation to publish her personal data with out her consent. Later the taken cell undergo studies and now known as HeLa cell. The family does not any benefits from this so it is clearly identified breech of confidentiality.
