Answer #1

Diet doesn't work in the long run. The majority of the people who lose weight through dieting regain it in 2-4 years. Restricting oneself from eating may cause an urge to eat on some occasions which may result in overeating which is bad. A circle of restrictive dieting where we restrict eating some foods and only consume other foods for their protein or carbs value may lead to overindulgence in the foods we previously restricted to follow a diet plan. This creates a cycle of losing weight and gaining again through overeating and losing control of the diet plan.

Intuitive eating is a method that encourages individuals to notice the hunger cues i.e the signals sent by the body when it has a requirement of food. In this method, a person should eat as much as they want without any guilt but should know when they are full. Nourishment for the body comes first, so eating to meet the nutritional needs is a must.

Healthy, Clean eating also helps in maintaining body weight. Adding green vegetables and switching to seafood instead of red meat can also regulate the body weight and maintain healthy bowel movement which leads to better digestion and absorption of food.

This chapter addressed computer-delivered training.  Let’s discuss the pros and cons of that method, as opposed to face to face traditional training. (Of course, all of you taking this course have distance learning and traditional classroom experiences to compare, but as schedule flexibility is usually cited as one of the main advantages to e-learning, and most of us have prescribed schedules at work, that probably is not applicable to this discussion.) What work-related tasks do you think would be appropriate to...

Hirschi's recommendations are controversial because he opposes the popular practice of building more prisons. What do you thing? If we don't lock up today's offenders swiftly and surely, how can we satisfy society's demand for retribution? Do you think that New York City's new crime approach and Hirschi's suggestions attack the broader conditions that breed crime, such...

PROS AND CONS OF A SECOND JOB There was a time when moonlighting—taking on work in addition to your full-time employment—was for under-employed workers and the severely cash-strapped. Today, even working professionals can be cash-strapped, and people in all fields and income groups are supplementing their main income by moonlighting. For some, the second job isn’t just for the bucks but also for the skills and the sense of being a free agent. And although extra part-time jobs used to...

I know that this is easy, I just don't have the time. My weight is 175, diet selection I am open. This chapter has a lot of content. I want your discussion to reflect on yourself, on your diet: Using the RDA formula of 0.8 g of protein/kg of body weight, you can calculate how much protein is needed for your nutrition. Convert your weight in lbs to weight in kg. For example, if you weigh 165 lbs, then your...

Covid-19 has significantly changed the telemedicine landscape. Telemedicine was originally designed for patients in under-served areas to receive specialty care from physicians via video conferencing. A nurse is generally in the room with the patient to support the physician on camera. Since Covid-19 has required social distancing, physicians have been granted permission to care for their patients from home using telemedicine. What do you think are the pros and cons to telemedicine?
