The topic of heart Diseases and strokes are important because both are the leading cause of death . About 68 millions adults have high blood pressure and about half do not have it under control. . For example in American approximately one third of the population live with one or more cardiovascular Disease. The leading cause of disability can be traced to hear t disease and strokes. Disparity in heart Diseases and strokes. 1) minority population bear a disproportionate burden of death and disability due to heart disease and stroke. 2) Heart disease and stoke are number one killer of men and women. 3) Many heart disease is undiagnosed among the minority population. 4) African American men are diagnosed with heart disease less often and are 30 percentage more likely to die from it than men.
