Informed Consent : refers to explaining in detail about the healthcare interventions and obtaining permission from the patient before conducting it. An Informed consent is given by the patient after clear understanding of the facts, implications and consequences of a procedure or treatment.

Preconditions patient must meet for informed consent:

- Patient should have adequate reasoning and judgement abilities. Patient must be able to understand and comprehend the information shared with them and the consequences of healthcare intervention.

- Patient should have the competence and capacity to make a decision regarding further treatment.

- Patient's decision must be voluntary and not influenced by any internal or external factors.

- The healthcare provider should disclose adequate information to the patient before obtaining an Informed consent.
