Answer #1

Control is the study group who are not associated with any risk factor in a trial for association of any risk factor with outcome. These groups are taken in order to compare the final outcome with the group having associated risk factor.

The control group consists of elements that present exactly the same characteristics of the experimental group, except for the variable applied to the latter.

According to some experts case control ratio should be 1:4 while according to some it should be 1:1 and sometimes it is also deendent on outcome variable.

There is a significant amount of monetary requirements in managing the control groups and prevent any kind of bias.

Ratio analyses is required to establish relations between risk factor and outcome.

Hope this helps. All the best ?
