Answer: Managed care can be explained as the method of healthcare delivery system which organized in such as way that it increases the utilization, improves the quality as well as manages the cost. It's aim is to serve better plan and management to the clients.

Some of the managed care plans are:

  • HMO (Health Maintenance Organization)
  • Preferred Provider Organization
  • Point of Service.

The advantage of these plan and impact on the recipient includes as it increases the efficiency of the treatment process by making the cost manageable. It means that it includes preventive healthcare, routine as well as manged care.
