Historical context:-Today in American, there are mainly Ashkenazi Jews. They came to America during colonel era when mainly Spanish and Japanese Jews had formed a small community in the US. Ashkenazi Jews are descendents of diaspora Jewish population of Central and Eastern Europe.They comprise. 90-95percent of total American Jews.

Demographics:- Population:- 1.7-2.6 percentage of total US population.as per 2012 data. Related ethnic group. Age-more aged people with low fertility rates. Ethnicities:--Conservative, Orthodox, reconstructionists and others.
