  1. Why are children who attend day care centers more likely to contract ear infections, pneumonia, and meningitis than kids who stay at home? How could I go about explaining this to a group of children in day care?

Children who attend day care centers are more likely to contract ear infections, pneumonia, and meningitis than kids who stay at home because according to researches such children practice hand hygiene less and did not cover their nose and mouth when they sneezed. Further, these kids, share, food, toys, and drinks which leads to the spread of these infections. We can explain the concept of infection in simple terms i.e. it is caused by microorganisms and we should maintain hygiene to avoid the spread of such infections such as regular hand washing and maintaining social distancing with an infected person.
