on ILD what are the clinical findings, diagnostic findings on which diagnostic methiod
ILD arediffuse parenchymal lung diseases involving interstitium, alveoli and vasculature.
These are generally fibrotic disease ediated by tgf beta and PDGF.
CLINICAL FINDINGS -
2 cardinal symptoms
1.cough: dry , non productive, with no diurnal variations.
2- exertional dyspnoea.
Other symptoms- hemoptysis,pleuritic pain, wheez,fever along with arthalgia.
Signs- clubbing, Raynaud's phenomenon,erythrema nodosum, pulmonary hypertension.
Diagnosis .
Xray is not diagnostic.
Investigation of choice is CT scan.
Diagnostic findings- bilateral bibasal subpleural reticular infiltrates are seen.
