Theory of self care
The theory of self care can be described as the activities or taskts that an individual performs independently with any external assistant throughout the lifespan to promote personal well being and maintain helath. The self care can be categorised into four key elements such as:
1. Physical self care
2. Psychological self care
3. Emotional self care
4. Spiritual health and rekated self care
The theory of self care when used and applied to day to day life, it helps in development of a healthy routine and positive energy which induces confidence and self esteem in the individual due to self care.
A Thory of self care is also given by Dorothea Orem in nursing which describes self care as the assumption that all individuals are inherently capable of caring for oneself independently and ywie actions help in maintaining life and their health.
