Acid base balance is the body's balance between acidity and alkalinity. ABG- arterial blood gas measures the acid base balance along with the oxygen and carbon dioxide balance in the blood to assess the lungs and kidney function.  

SO2- The normal oxygen saturation is 95-100%.

SO2in this patient is less

pH- 7.53- The normal range is 7.35-7.45

pH is more- alkaline

Pco2- The normal range is 35-45

Pco2 is low

Hco3- The normal range is 22-28

Hco3 is normal

Based on the patients lab findings, decreased pco2 indicates decreased acidity which thereby confirms with the increased pH suggesting alkalinity. Decreased pco2 and increased pH indicates respiratory alkalosis. Thereby the condition gives you an explanation of why the oxygen saturation levels are low.
