Homework Answers

Answer #1

The correct answer is

C.poor adherence can cause drug resistance.

All drugs used in the treatment of tuberculosis tend to produce a resistance. So if the patient skips any doses it can cause drug resistance , relapse of the bacilli attack and may also cause even death. So a supervision is needed in order to make sure that the client is not missing any of the doses. It will really help to improve the patient compliance.

The first option is wrong why because of awareness on health is depends upon people's nature,it's not pertaining to specific diseases.

Second option is also wrong because , the question is asked about the supervision or direct observation for a treatment.

4th option is also suitable for the question. But it is not more approximate. Because medication cost will change on time basis. But dots is always done in the same manner. Because the ultimate aim is the patient compliance. All others are secondary. So the 3rd option is the correct answer.
