3. Maintaining healthy metabolic function.
Importance of nutrition:
Nutrients provide nourishment. Proteins, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water are all nutrients. If people do not have the right balance of nutrients in their diet, their risk of developing certain health conditions increases.
Nutrition Standards: A collective term for the nutrition goals for meals that include recommended nutrients and other dietary components in specified amout that are required for well being and good health.

Preparation of basic balanced meal: Each meal is a building block in your healthy eating style. Balanced meal includes all the food groups throughout the day such as fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy, and protein foods part of your daily meals and snacks.
Sample balance meal:
