Answer: It has been found that mortality rates are increasing in relation to the pregnancy. But most of the data reveals that a vast number of deaths can be prevented. The black women are three times at higher risk of death as compared to native Americans. So, the major causes of the death are:

• Poor healthcare concern among females, specially the African American women.
• The unnecessary surgery or the cesarean section for the mother.
• Lack of health disparities.
• Lack of cultural competence environment.
• Poverty or low socioeconomic status.

We can improve and prevent the maternal mortality rates as :

• By keeping ourselves aware about the nutrition requirements during pregnancy.
• By visiting to the healthcare professionals regularly for the check ups.
• Adotping healthy lifestyle and reducing the excessive weight to have normal deliveries.
