She reported he has had not been sleeping for several days and is increasingly paranoid, quitting his job due to the believing they were spying on him. He placed tin foil on all of the windows in their apartment and drowned the plants in water. He refuses to use a cell phone stating they are listening in through the cell phone. Upon assessment he is responding to internal stimuli, and he describes persecutory delusions that god is punishing him and his family is going to be shot by god or tortured by satan if he does not make the “right decisions.” His behavior is erratic and he is disrobing, believing that offering his clothing to the crisis center staff will protect his family. He is disoriented, refusing to eat snacks and juice offered to him, in apparent emotional distress, responding to auditory hallucinations. He denies suicidal thoughts but states, “I will die if that will save them, I would rather die.” He has not been violent. Scenario; F
