Self actualization is actually the capability of becoming everything that a person need ,which is actually defined by Abraham Maslow.This is actually realizing self potentiality.

Developing self actualization among elders is very much important as it helps for the personal growth and development in aged people.Characteristics of self actualized person are

• Problem centred
• Highly creative
• Takes responsibility for the work that is to be completed.
• Maintains ethical standards
• Maintains honesty

In case of aged as they lost their ability to do things on their own,self actualization actually helps them to get motivated and reach all the goals and capabilities that a person can do,do that this makes older people to fulfill their own needs without depending on others.
