Answer #1

Fallacies are misleading and unsound arguments.

I am a nurse and I recently had a talk with a patient in my ward. The conversation goes like this :

Me: Don't worry, god will help you to recover soon.

Patient:Why do I believe that god exists? I. can prove that he doesn't exist.

Me :Why you think so, for me he exists.

Patient :I am certain that he doesn't.

This is fallacious appeal to ignorance.

I could have avoided the topic with patient about spirituality as it is not a therapeutic communication. As a nurse I should have used therapeutic communication. So instead I could have given psychological support by saying, " we are here to take care of you."
