Primary alcohol includes methanol, ethanol etc

Secondary alcohol has 2 alkyl group attached e.g propan-2-ol , butan-2- ol

Tertiary alcohol consist of 3 hydroxyl groups e.g 2 methyl propan -2- ol

Alcohol that are safe for consumption are those which consist of 3-40 % of ethanol by volume.
