Enteral feeding means the intake of food . drug or any other nutient via gastrointestinal tract i.e GIT. In this type of feeding feed is taken from mouth through the feeding tube , which delivers the feed directly into stomach or small intestine. It is also referred as tube feeding. It is widely used in case of  malnutrition, neuromuscular disorders, as well as in case of inability to swallow in certain conditions like post-surgical malformations esophagus. Nasogastric tube (NGT) and Orogastric tube (OGT) are commonly used in enteral feeding in the patients.
