Identify nursing intervention for
1) premature Artrail contraction
2) venticular fibrillation
3) supraventicilar tachycardia
4) Idioventricular rhythm
5) ventricular tachycardia

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The nursing interventions for the following conditions are mentioned below:

1) premature Atrial contraction:

* Assess Rhythm, Rate and P: QRS ratio, PR interval.

* Observe patient condition by assessing for dizziness, fluttery feeling etc.

2) ventricular fibrillation:

* Nurse should defibrillate the patient or CPR should be provided.

* Administer oxygen,antidysrhythmic therapy.

3) Supraventricular tachycardia:

* Monitor the occurance of SVT to decrease ventricular response.

* Administer oxygen and antidysrhythmic drugs

4) Idioventricular rhythm:

* Assess the patient for symptomatic weak thready pulse.

* Monitor strips or records

* Start CPR.

5) ventricular tachycardia:

* Monitor patient closely.

* Administer oxygen.

* Administer Iv fluids.

* Begin CPR.

* Defibrillate the patient.
