How do the memory problems in Alzheimer's disease differ from those in normal aging?
Difference between Alzheimer's and normal aging:
Alzheimer's is a type of dementia in which someone develops congintive problems due to changes in the brain. Normal aging have effects on the molecules, cells, vasculature, gross morphology, and cognition. As we grow older our brains shrink in volume, particularly in the frontal cortex.
The most common symptom of Alzheimer's is difficultly remembering things, particularly new information. While people who are aging normally may forget things as well, they will typically remember them later.
People with Alzheimers never get back the information if they forget it. But, incase of aging people, they remember information if someone reminds them or they remember it later.
