The syphilis effected American culture in 20th century as it was not as severe as bubonic disease but it was the painful disease. It caused severe itching, burning sensation, unbearable pain. This disease caused ulcer to all the body parts as there were no treatment. Pain in the joints and bones were unbearable, many people died. It disturbs the economy as many people reduces the trade and many people avoided. Mortality rate were increased.
