An elderly or disabled client is adamant that they want to continue to make their own meals rather than have a worker come in to do it. They have an unsteady hand and have previously burnt and cut themselves. You know that it is unsafe for them to continue making their own meals but need to respect their wishes

It is generally very difficult to change the munde of elderly as they are very adamant with their habits and behaviour. however they can be convinced by following way

1. Explain the risk of getting burnt or cut again with the unsteady hands.

2. Tell them that you be present when someone prepares your meal so that it will be according to your own demands.

3. Worker will follow your orders and make the meals accordingly.

4. Worker will assist in cutting , cleaning of vegetables according to your standards.

5. Explain it will be difficult for the wound to heal if it get burnt , bruised, cut and it will pain a lot.

6. Rest is very important at this age and stage.

7. Ensure that the worker will follow your protocol while cooking.
