  1. What happens in VC when there is decreased lung compliance?Explain what happens to the baseline pressure in pressure trigger, when the initiates a control breath?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer: When there is decreased lung compliance, the lungs gets stiff as it requires more work to bring normal volunteer of air. So, due to the high pressure, sometimes lungs become fibrotic and most of the cases it's distensibility gets eliminated or reduced. The damage occurs in the elastic tissues. The Vc decreases.

With the help of pressure trigger, the pressure detect the changes in the pressure which occurs. When the airways pressure decreases, the ventilator triggees the pressure. The pressure control ventilator set the rate while triggering the pressure up to certain amount.
