• Psychosocial support: To help the mother to feel the joy of motherhood, encourage family members to participate in the maternal care like spouse, mother,mother in law helping to feed the baby .Observe the mother for attachment with the baby, feeding,etc., to rule out post natal depression at the earliest and treat accordingly
• Diet:Providing a well balanced nutritional diet before the mother feels hungry
• Hygiene: Encourage the family to keep the environment baby friendly, free of dust and pollution
• Immunization: Teaching about the importance and preventative disease by administration of vaccinations to the family and mother
• Observe the mother for any post natal complications.
