Answer #1

Immunity is the ability of an organism to resist a particular infection or toxin by the action of specific antibodies

Human have three types of immunity,they are;

(1). Innate immunity: also called natural immunity. Everyone is born with this immunity. This type immunity acts immediately within hours when an antigen's contact with body.

Eg: skin and chemicals in blood protect the body from germs entering the body.

(2). Active immunity or adaptive immunity:

This immunity develops throughout our life. We develop active immunity naturally once we exposed to disease. or when we receive vaccination against that disease.

(3). Passive immunity: This is the type of immunity borrowed from another source. It lasts for short period of time.

Passive immunity can happen naturally when infant receive mother's antibody (IgA and IgG) through the placenta or breast milk.
