Answer #1

Given,
Vancomycin 750 mg in 250 ml saline solution.
It means each 250 ml bag containing 750 mg vancomycin.
Also given, vancomycin 1 gram vial is to be reconstituted with 10 ml of SWFI(sterile water for injection)
Now, 1 gram =1000 mg

Hence, vancomycin 1000 mg vial is to be reconstituted with 10 ml of SWFI(sterile water for injection)

Using unitary method:-
1000 mg vancomycin reconstituted with 10 ml of SWFI
1 mg vancomycin reconstituted with=10/1000 ml of SWFI
750 mg vancomycin reconstituted with = (10/1000)×750 ml of SWFI
=7.5 ml of SWFI
So, 7.5 ml of reconstituted vancomycin is needed to make 1 bag of vancomycin 750 mg in 250 ml saline solution.

For 8 bags of vancomycin, reconstituted vancomycin is needed =8×7.5 ml
=60 ml

Therefore, 60 ml of reconstituted vancomycin is needed to make a total of 8 bags of vancomycin 750 mg in 250 ml saline solution.
