Type 1 diabetes is also known as insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. these patients need life long insulin therapy, there is no alternative for insulin therapy for IDDM patients. current treatment choice for NIDDM include sulfonylurea,biguanide as an glucosidare inhibitor and insulin. it can be either given by alone or in combination method for NIDDM patients. NIDDM are type 2 diabtes these diabetes can be treated with life style changes or other type of medications other than insulin therapy. but IDDM insulin therapy is a only one choice as a long term treatment.
