Homework Answers

Answer #1

Solution:
In CRS(Cardio- Renal Syndrome) patient's there is exceptional high ratio of Serum Urea and Serum Creatinine. The Dopamine dosage for Cardio-Renal Syndrome patient's is 5-10µg /Kg/Min.
Dopamine Hydrochloride Injection is administered only after dilution by intravenous infusion.
Solution:
What we have:
Dopamine IV Drip 12ml/Hour
Patient Weight - 97 Kg
Dopamine Dose Available - 850 mg in 250ml

1mg = 1000mcg
800mg = 8,00,000mcg/250ml

250ml = 8,00,000 mcg
1ml = 3200 mcg

If we need to administer 12ml/hour

1ml = 3200mcg
12ml = 266.6mcg

Calculating for 1min
12ml in 1hour =60min
12ml = 266.6mcg in1 hour
60 min = 266.6 mcg
1 min = 4.44 mcg

Answer : Dopamine dosage for Cardio-Renal Syndrome patient with 97kg weight is 4.44mcg/kg/min
