RIsk Factors

  2. Several factors related to your sexual history can increase the risk of cervical cancer such as becoming sexually active at a young age ( Less than 18 years old.), having many sexual partners, having one partner who is considered high risk,

  5. Long term use of oral contraceptives.

  7. Young age at first full term pregnacy

  10. Having a family history of cervical cancer

Treatment Modalities

Surgery

Early-stage cervical cance is typically treated with surgery. Which type of surgery is depend on the size of the cancer and stage of cancer.

Radiation

It is often combined with chemotherapy as the primary treatment for locally advanced cervical cancers. It can also be used after surgery if there is an increased risk that the cancer will come back.

Chemotherapy

For locally advanced cervical cancer, low doses of chemotherapy are often combined with radiation therapy, since chemotherapy may enhance the effects of radiation. Higher doses of chemotherapy might be used to help control symptoms of very advaced cancer.

Targeted therapy

It is usually combined with chemotherapy. It might be an option for advanced cervical cancer.

Palliative care

It is used along with all of the other appropriate treatments, people with cqncer mqy feel better and live longer
