Answer #1

Question 5 Answer.

Order interpretation:

Ordered dose= furosemide 0.08g, ie 80mg, patient has to take 80mg

Prescription: 2 tablets per oral everyday before noon

Mitte:30 days- follow this order for 30 days

Available dose= 40 mg each tablet,

So dosage calculation=( ordered dose/available dose)× volume

= 80mg/40mg× 1 tablet

= 2 tablets.

Patient has to take two tablets per day for 30 days.

So 60 tablet 40mg each have to dispense.

Question 6 Answer

Interpretation: Patient has to take Dimenhydrinate 15mg every fourth hourly.

Dosage calculation=( ordered dose/available dose)× volume

=( 15mg/3mg)× 1 ml

= 5ml.

Doses in the bottle, 150/5= 30doses.
