Tasks that are common in both leadership and
management:
Leadership and management both
qualities are complementary to each other. They are like two sides
of the same coin. Even though, they have some similarities (common)
tasks. The common tasks are
- Leadership and management skills
can be learnable. That means anybody can become a leader and a
manager with learning. Meaningful progression in these skills can
be achieved through experiences and learnings from those
experiences
- Both skills have organisational
structure which has tremendous role in making great leaders and
managers. Organisational context means effective leaders need to
know how to manage and in a similar way effective managers must
build relationships that allow them to lead within, as well as
beyond organizational structures.
