Management in nursing practice requires enough skills and knowledge. Nurse manager must have skills in direct patient care so as to guide the staff nurses to deliver care. Nurse management focuses on improving the quality of nursing care services. In this situation, thea nurse manager knew the problem faced by the subordinates. But in general management, these managers will not be able to understand and solve the problems of the subordinates.
Leadership and management focus on common tasks such as planning, delegation, coordination, direction, motivation, and organization.
The ladership styles are laisez fairre, autocratic, democratic, bureaucratic, transcultural leadership. The leadership style useful here would be democratic as this would help the leader to better understand the subordinates and make a wise decision by taking opinion from the subordinates.
