- Integrity/dependability/drive: This characteristic includes endurance and enthusiasm.
- Self-confidence: Someone with a noticeable bearing or presence who has the ability to influence others and pursue goals will be a good leader.
- Desire to influence others- employees
- Ethical and moral character- different way of thinking
- Intelligence.
- Relevant knowledge.

I feel nursing ward incharge are an effective leader as she is whole sole responsible for ward & she particularly distributes all duties/tasks to the employees so that it helps in effective smoothly functioning of ward.
