Depressants

Stimulants

Hallucinogens

1)Depressants:It includes alcohol,benzodiazepines and barbiturates .

It acta as a depressant ,sedative and hypnotic

It is also use to treat seizures

2)Stimulants:Stimulants includes substances such as amphetamines ,cocaine and crack.

It act on the brainstem amd medulla to stimulate respiration

It is also used as afjunctive therapy for exogenous obesity

3)Hallucinogens:It includes substances such as lysergic acid diethylamide,mescaline,psilocybin.

It helps tomanage behavior as well as mood.
