AABB Hemovigilance
AABB has a long history of collaborating with government agencies, international organizations, and experts in the field to establish and implement systems and processes for identifying and tracking adverse reactions and incidents associated with blood collection and transfusion. AABB will continue to show support for a national hemovigilance system to collect and analyze data related to the adverse events and incidents associated with blood transfusion.
National Blood Foundation
The National Blood Foundation (NBF) was established in 1982 and has granted over $8 million in grants to over 180 promising young investigators to support transfusion medicine and cellular therapies. Many recipients have progressed and have gone onto groundbreaking findings.
TRANSFUSION Journal
TRANSFUSION is the foremost publication in the world for new information regarding transfusion medicine. Written by and for members of AABB and other health-care professionals, TRANSFUSION reports on the latest technical advances, discusses opposing viewpoints regarding controversial issues, and presents key conference proceedings. In addition to blood banking and transfusion medicine topics, TRANSFUSION presents submissions concerning tissue transplantation and hematopoietic, cellular, and gene therapies.
