1)First the wound should be cleaned and make sure it is covered properly with bandage and then puton gloves and give the injection.
2)find if any pointed abrasion on the hand and clean it with betadine solution. Rince the wound with spirit solution and apply bandage immediately to prevent contamination. Make sure you have taken vaccine for hepatitis unfortunately we do ont have treatment for hepatitis c. We should get tested of for HIV prophylactically.
3.health care providers must take hepatitis b vaccine as there is major risk of exposure.Advice the part time worker to get vaccine without any delay
