• Maintaining equity in care ,avoid discrimination in the care
• Equal distribution of the resources to a patient

Eg:A provider can be concerned during a disaster in the allocation of the resources to an individual and the public based on the need and protocol

The difference existing between individual and public health are

• In individual health a single person health is concerned.
• In public health the health of the population is considered
• Individual has to stick to a policy but public health needs can enable to frame a new policy based on the requirements of the group of population

Eg: During a disaster a provider der may segregate care based on the triage need of an individual and the public as a whole.
