ACE inhibitors are medication which is prescribed for treating high blood pressure. Some of the laboratory investigation which has to be dine prior to initiating this group of drugs are

• Renal function test (serum creatinine) for kidney function.As kidney are involved in elimination of the drug .This drug can cause side effects like decreased blood supply to the kidney
• Serum potassium levels as to be monitored as thus drug can increase the potassium levels in tye blood
