The focus of research and evidence-based practice (EBP) differ because the focus of research is finding novel things such as new treatment i.e. drug for diseases such as for example; cancer that is more safe and efficacious, than the previously available drugs, while the focus of evidence-based practice (EBP) is the application of this research finding in the appropriate clinical context, in a patient-centered way, i.e. based on the patient’s personal inclinations of culture or religion.
