Conducting research with strong ethical principles is a critical component of being an effective nurse researcher. What did you learn about ethical principles in research? Are ethics in research clear cut, or do you think there are some gray areas?
Ethical principles in research are very clearly defined they include, (dissertation, 2020);
· PRINCIPLE ONE: reducing the risk of harm to a minimum level for the subjects of research
· PRINCIPLE TWO: ensuring informed consent.
· PRINCIPLE THREE: Protecting the anonymity i.e. privacy and confidentiality of the subject
· PRINCIPLE FOUR: Avoiding practices based on deception
· PRINCIPLE FIVE: Providing the subject the right to withdraw at any point during the research
