What are the components of the current United Health Care system and why do the resources from our Unit refer to the components as subsystems? Do you agree with this position? Why or why not?

Components of the United Heath care system:

The United States' Health care system has a high quality health care delivery usystem , but the universal access of Healthcare for all citizens is still a dream. Many uninsured in the Nation lack necessary Health services . Health care is the Prevention, treatment and management of illness or the preservation of mental and physical wellbeing through services offered by the Medical, nursing and allied health professions. There are various components in a Healh care system along with subsystems.

Components of United Heath care system are mainly four and they are:

* Financing : It is a necessary component to obtain health insurance . In US , the main insurance source is employment based insurance for the employees. Employers purchases the insurance for employees and for their dependents through an MCO.

* Insurance : During the expensive health care need , and in disaster the insured get protection from the insurance .

* Delivery : Providers make available the health services or the provision of Healthcare  for the people. Providers are physicians, dentist, optometrist, therapists, hospitals ,imaging centers, labs , suppliers of medical equipment etc.

* Payment : Reimbursement for providers for the health care services they provided. Patient has to pay out of poket around $30 for Consultation and the remaining fee will be paid by insurance company or MCO( managed care organizations) , they pay it from the premiums that they got . Tax revenues are used to pay for providers in Medicaid and Medicare insurance plans of Government .

The resources are referred to the components as the subsystems. The major subsystems are

* Managed care; It integrates basic function of health care delivery. when comparing with fee- for service managed care was effective.  

* Military medical care system

* Healthcare services for special population or vulnerable population

* Integrated delivery system ( IDSs): Hospitals that have integrated with insurance companies and other services

* Public health system

* Long term care delivery.

This position of resources as subsystems are not agreeable as it makes the United health care sysystem  

* not accessible to all Americans . It is purely based on insurance coverage.

* imperfect market condition affects health care.

* multiple payers make the united health care system awkward.

* No central agency to regulate the whole system
